Concept Visio.M, created by engineers of the Munich Technical University with the participation of experts from the automotive industry, should embody the idea of affordable and safe best electric car. However, mass production of its creators while not thinking.
Double Visio.M obtain a compact and very light. Its founders believed that it was the weight of the best electric car a crucial role in achieving a sufficiently high mileage on one tank with a relatively low-power motor. So, for example, the power structure of the concept is made of reinforced plastic, and the windows – made of polycarbonate. As a result, not including the mass of batteries Visio.M weighs only 450 kg.
The best electric car is equipped with a 20-horsepower engine and a set of lithium-ion battery capacity of 13.5 kW / h. Power unit is small, nevertheless, able to disperse the concept of up to 120 km / h and the range of the concept on a single charge is 160 km. To restore the battery charge from a household power source, a hypothetical owner will take three to four hours.
Despite the seeming simplicity of the concept and its creators have provided a number of active and passive safety, and implemented several innovative energy-saving technologies. On mass production, however, too early to say, believe in the University of Munich. The fact is that many applications on Vision.M components in mass production will be unnecessarily expensive, although the main purpose of the engineering team was to create an electric vehicle, which cost in mass production would be less than the price of a similar car with a conventional internal combustion engine.
