Scientists have told about the benefits of armed conflict for men

American anthropologists have made a surprising discovery. It turns out that war and fighting a beneficial effect on reproduction in men. The study showed that combat experience wise men have more wives, and as a consequence – the children. Such assumptions have long expressed ucheny, but until recently this theory to prove it was impossible due to the lack of research material. A new study has proved the correctness of this theory, albeit not quite as scientists had hoped.

Anthropologists could establish the truth through the observation tribes nyangatom pastoralists who live on the border of Ethiopia and South Sudan. To date, people nyangatom one of the few that is not military conflicts because of politics, religion or commercial interests. Lingering war nyangatom last for centuries and are reduced to the raider raids on their neighbors in order to seize cattle.

Raids are of two types. The first involves penetration of the village neighbors of a small detachment of young warriors who, under the cover of night, stealing cattle. The second – an open confrontation all the men of the tribe. Since the 1980s nyangatom tribes began to actively use automatic weapons.

The secret of “improved reproduction” is not in biology, but as it turned out in the tribal traditions. Youth involved in the raids, almost nothing has since disclaims all trophies for the benefit of older relatives. Thus, they are responsible for their future, thanks to the hereditary transmission.

As a result, the most active Merrie Men-warriors enrich his family ultimately enrich themselves (if they live to old age) and in his tribe become eligible bachelor, for which all seek to marry.

It goes in today’s society, leading a war for political, economic, commercial, ethnic and religious interests, this model does not work.
