Volvo V40 Cross Hatch has a new turbo and all-wheel drive

Volvo has introduced a new modification of the “all-terrain” hatchback Volvo V40 Cross Country. She got a new gasoline turbo family Drive-E and all wheel drive system. Hatchback Volvo V40 Cross  has already been called the most environmentally friendly representative segment.

The new two-liter engine, which added a Volvo V40 Cross Country, develops 245 hp Thus, it is somewhat weaker than the five-cylinder engine, which replaces a novelty – a hatchback version of the T5 features, depending on the market, 249 or 254 “horses”. There is some loss in the amount of torque – 350 Nm against 360, but Volvo believe that is a small price for the impressive efficiency and environmental friendliness.

However, exactly how much fuel will consume hatchback Volvo V40 Cross , is not specified. We only know that, instead of 6-step “automatic machine” it is equipped with 8-band box with the ability to shift paddle shifters. But Volvo’s reported amount of harmful emissions: the new product will emit 148 g of CO2 per kilometer. This is slightly less than, for example, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 or Audi Q3 with the two-liter turbo engine comparable.

European sales of the new modification will start this fall. According to preliminary plans, winter Volvo V40 Cross Country with the new engine and the automatic transmission gets up to.
