SPACEX ROCKET EXPLODED DURING A TEST FLIGHT

Rocket company SpaceX has exploded in the air during a test flight, reports Phys.org referring to representatives of the company. Although no one was injured, the event drew a wide response in the media, because SpaceX is developing a spacecraft that can be used repeatedly.

The rocket was a pilot version of transport F9R with three engines, which is a follower of the prototype Grasshopper .

“During the flight, transport anomaly was detected, and the system automatically self-destruct mission completed – so said in a statement the company SpaceX. - Throughout the test, and the subsequent termination of the flight vehicles remained in the designated area of the flight. “

SpaceX is also noted that the representative of the Federal Aviation Administration was present during the test. He, in turn, said that the test was “particularly difficult as pushing the limits of the vehicle more than during any other test.”

The company plans to explore the recordings made during the flight in order to understand what caused the problem before the next test. Recall that SpaceX competes with other companies - including Boeing, Sierra Nevada and Blue Origin – to become the first commercial company that will take astronauts into space, perhaps as early as 2017.

Until then, the astronauts around the world will rely on Russian spacecraft “Soyuz”, the cost of the flight which is $ 70 million per seat. Once the details of the explosion will be known, we will write about them.
