At points Google has a competitor K-Glass

Points K-Glass was developed in South Korea, a group of inventors from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology. While K-Glass glasses are in prototype stage, but research scientists have already found their technical implementation, which can be very useful for those who have decided to go shopping.

While not the most stylish and beautiful glasses K-Glass allow when looking at the items to create a 3D image of the last right before your eyes (so far, only one eye). Visual simulation technology is arranged on the principle of works of QR codes, which are read by a special camera with a sensor. Received played on a miniature model display with a resolution of 800×600, which is attached directly to the eye.

The principle of operation is simple K-Glass. When the mouse optic sensor on the barcode or QR code device reads his testimony and determine that it is for items in front of him. After that, K-Glass in a database are scanned purchase, and if available, displays its model.

Today, when the QR-codes got just incredible spread of such glasses can be very useful. For example, they allow you to see the dishes that are registered in the restaurant menu or view a 3D image model of the car, whose photo is printed in a glossy magazine.

Currently K-Glass glasses are in the prototype stage, and while the possibility of their commercial application is not the question. Nevertheless, the scientists intend to continue. In the future, Korean inventors also want to increase the resolution of images and add to it the description of the characteristics of an object, such as the composition of dishes and specifications gadget.

As for the duration of K-Glass, then now novelty test battery provides 6 hours of energy intensive work or 28 hours in a state of rest.
